Why do I need to install the DisplayLink Manager software to use this USB-C docking station?

This docking station uses the chipset designed by DisplayLink technology for video output via USB.

There is no video output from the DisplayLink ports. Why?

Please ensure the DisplayLink Manager driver is successfully installed on your Mac or Windows laptop.

There is a latency and extra loading of CPU activity when I play video on DisplayLink output. Why?

DisplayLink output is a technology to extend video from USB via DisplayLink chip which requires CPU activity. So we do not recommend playing multiple high-quality videos or 1st person shooting video games with this docking station.
