Today, laptops are moving away with all forms except for one – the USB-C port or Thunderbolt port, you still have devices that use different types of connectors. SIIG’s JU-DK0Q11-S1 Universal USB-C Quad Displays Docking Station is recommended to add a ton of convenience to you at work or home. Not only does it give you a whole lot more screen space, but it also gives you access to new devices, plus superb charging power.
Benefits
1. Why can’t I have PD 100W charging on my laptop?
Answer: Not all laptop models required 100W input, please check the user manual of your laptop computer for charging spec.
—
2. There is no video output from the DisplayLink ports. Why?
Answer: Please ensure the DisplayLink driver is successfully installed on your Mac or Windows laptop. You can only select ONE mix video output (DP or HDMI) at a time to connect.
—
3. There is a latency and extra loading of CPU activity when I play video on DisplayLink output. Why?
Answer: DisplayLink output is a technology to extend video from USB via DisplayLink chip which requires CPU activity. So we do not recommend playing multiple high-quality videos or 1st person shooting video games with this docking station.
To match its powerful capability, this docking station is designed with excellent heat dissipation to maintain stable performance. Double-sided ventilation holes with an in-built heat sink ensure the heat generated during operation is quickly transferred and ventilated out of the device
To ensure the safety of your docking station, one security lock slot is integrated into the back of the device. You can use all supported models of lock, such as Kensington to protect the physical security of the device from theft.
There is a screw plug built on the top of the USB-C host port which enables you to connect the included USB-C cable harness with a screw lock to strengthen the connection from your laptop. Tighten the thumbscrew once you connect the USB-C cable to secure the dock from unexpected disconnections.
Everything works instantly after plugging in all the monitors and devices and installing DisplayLink drivers.
Note: When connecting using USB-A to USB-C converter from your laptop to the docking station, the data transfer speed of all USB-C ports would be 5Gbps instead of 10Gbps.
